Closing or downsizing an office? We buy the IT and pay you

Junk removal charges you to take it away. A free recycler takes it for nothing and keeps the value. We buy the laptops, desktops, monitors and servers, we arrange one pickup, and we pay you, before your lease-end date.

Four ways to clear a floor

You have four practical options for the IT on a floor you are giving up. Here is what each one does to your budget, your calendar and your team.

Three of these four options move the gear. Only one of them moves money back to you.

Work backwards from your lease-end date

Time-sensitive deals are our specialty, not a challenge. Here is the sequence with real lead times against it, so you can put the pickup on the same plan as the movers.

  1. 3 to 4 weeks before the date

Send the list. An asset register export, a spreadsheet, or a photo set of the store room. Model, configuration and count is enough, and rough counts are fine while people are still working at the desks.

  2. Inside 24 hours

You get a written offer, priced on the whole lot, against current market conditions. It stands for 7 days, so you can take it to whoever signs off the move without it moving underneath you.

  3. 3 to 5 business days ahead

We book the pickup against your date. We book third-party carriers. We do not operate our own trucks. We supply the pallets and the wrap, and we arrange a liftgate where the building has no dock.

  4. The dock day

One collection clears the floor. Your team does not sort, test, wipe or palletize anything first. We hand you a written receipt against the list.

  5. 3 to 5 business days after verified receipt

Payment by ACH or wire transfer, on the terms in the offer document you already have.

If you are still deciding what to sell and what to scrap, read what your IT is worth first, then send the list.

What we take, and what we leave

Working, broken, cosmetically damaged and mixed, all in the same lot. We will tell you before the pickup exactly what stays, so nothing is a surprise on the day.

We buy

  • Laptops, desktops and workstations
  • Servers, storage arrays and shelves
  • Monitors and projectors off desks and walls
  • Phones, tablets and Chromebooks
  • Working, broken and cosmetically damaged units in one lot

We leave

  • Desks, chairs, cabinets and fittings
  • Printers, copiers and shredders
  • Switches, routers and firewalls
  • Chargers, headphones and loose accessories
  • Swollen or damaged battery cells

Office equipment liquidation usually mixes furniture, fittings and IT into one job. We are the IT half of that job, and only the IT half. See every category we buy.

Movers, landlords and the loading dock

Most buildings require a certificate of insurance naming the building management before anyone brings equipment in. That certificate is available on request. The carrier we book issues the certificate of insurance. Your organization can be named as certificate holder on it, and your building manager can be named alongside you. Ask for it when you accept the offer and it reaches your building manager before the window is booked.

Tell us the dock hours, the elevator booking rules and whether there is a liftgate requirement, and we will tell you plainly what we can work to. The limits, the certificate holder wording and the settlement terms are on the payment and insurance page.

Insurance, data and the paperwork

The drives are the first thing to settle, and our data handling page sets out exactly what we can and cannot certify. Insurance, payment method and settlement terms are on the payment and insurance page. Read both before you agree to anything.

A floor is not the only shape this takes. If the room is racked, see how we handle a rack room. If this is overstock, customer returns or pallets rather than a floor being emptied, see excess inventory and returns. Common questions

Who pays the freight?
It depends on the size of the lot and the distance. We tell you before you agree to anything. On lots of 100 units or more we cover the freight. Below that we agree who pays before you commit, based on the distance.
What about the furniture?
We do not take it. We take the IT: laptops, desktops, monitors, projectors, servers, storage, phones and tablets. Tell us what else is on the floor and we will say plainly what stays.
Our landlord deadline is next week. Is that too fast?
Time-sensitive deals are our specialty, not a challenge. Send the list today and we will tell you honestly whether we can hit your date. The shortest lead time we work to is 48 hours from an agreed offer to a truck at your dock.
Some of the units are broken. Do you still want them?
Yes. We take working, non-working and cosmetically damaged units in the same lot, regardless of condition, age, or mix.
What about the data on the machines?
You can keep the drives, wipe them before pickup, or route the lot through a certified processor. Routing a lot through a certified processor is available on request. We name the processor for that specific job, in writing, before the collection is booked. We do not sanitize in house and we do not issue certificates ourselves, and what we can and cannot certify is set out on our data handling page.
